Harlem NES

from Shakebit by Inverse Phase

/

about

Track written in: Famitracker 0.4.2
Chip found in: NES, Famicom
Other names for chip: RP 2A03, 2A07

Channels: 5 (2 pulse w/2-bit duty control, 1 triangle, 1 whitenoise, 1 DPCM)
4-bit volume, 11-bit pitch
Quirks: no volume control on triangle

The 2A03, based on the 6502 (minus a decimal mode) is actually the big bad CPU of the Nintendo, and just happens to have some extra features like joystick, and — perhaps very importantly — sound control. The 2A07 is the 2A03's European cousin that operates at a slightly lower speed to sync to PAL televisions.
